I am currently doing my Ph.D. under Dr. Susanna Schmidt's supervision. My research focuses on the cognitive, motivational and emotional processes that are involved in the formation of autobiographical and emotional memories. Research on this topic has provided large evidence that memory of past autobiographical events and emotions is highly reconstructive, and therefore, subjected to cognitive biases and distortions. The focus of my research is to examine the sources of these biases and their interaction with social and environmental factors.
